Male circumcision with a radio wave scalpel

Circumcision is a surgical procedure involving excision and partial removal of the foreskin to release the head. Thus, the signs of phimosis are eliminated.

And among some peoples, this is a religious custom (among Jews, Muslims).

So, who does circumcision in men, we will talk about this and much more in the article.

What do you get from circumcision?

Phimosis and inflammation will no longer cause you inconvenience, since you will not have a cavity in which bacteria gather.

According to patients, circumcision not only prolongs the time of intimacy, but restores quality sex.

For 62% of women, a circumcised man is a more desirable partner (statistics from an independent survey of Moscow residents in 2015).

Where to circumcise in men?

For those patients who are diagnosed with phimosis of any stage, the operation is performed in a clinic.

This occurs mainly under general anesthesia (it is also allowed under local anesthesia if excision is minimal, without damage to large vessels).

Where can I get circumcised? Such a procedure is carried out in public hospitals for the intended purpose or in private hospitals if a person has expressed such a desire or adopted a different religion (a baptismal ceremony has passed).

Today, Jews are circumcised at an early age (on the 8th day after birth) in a hospital, but with the presence of a rabbi and loved ones. Less often, circumcision is performed in the synagogue after morning prayers (such are arranged on the territory of the medical facilities themselves), even less often - at home, in the presence of 10 adult men (over 13 years old).

The procedure itself can be carried out by any man or woman, but now it is carried out by specially trained people - moels, who have appropriate medical training behind them.

In Muslims, circumcision is also an important element in the study of religion. But the procedure is carried out much later. Moreover, the "recommended" age varies from country to country.

The operation is carried out at about 3-13 years old, although Muslims also believe that the most noble day for the operation is the 8th from birth (after one Saturday was experienced).

But where exactly the circumcision will be performed - everyone decides for himself (or his parents), taking into account the accepted customs, as well as the medical prescription for the procedure.

It is also worth mentioning that currently, men often go for circumcision in order to reduce the sensitivity of the penis.

This occurs due to thickening of the skin on the head. Doctors confirm that it really helps in an intimate life, but not as radically as one might expect.

With where circumcision is done, we’ll talk about which doctor circumcises the foreskin.

Types of circumcision

Penis after conventional circumcision

  • The most common type of circumcision
  • Solves problems with phimosis and inflammation
  • A suture is done right behind the head of the penis
  • It is possible to leave or remove the bridle
  • Complete healing after 7 days

Penis after partial circumcision of the foreskin

  • A popular type of circumcision for inflammation
  • The location of the seam is chosen by the patient
  • Unobstructed opening of the head of the penis
  • It is possible to leave or remove the bridle
  • Complete healing after 7 days

Penis after tight circumcision

  • Circumcision for a new sexual sensation
  • The location of the seam is chosen by the patient
  • Tight skin of the penis during erection
  • Bridle removal is included in the price
  • Complete healing after 10 days

Who is doing?

If a man has a desire to have circumcision, he should initially consult a urologist (if it comes to the treatment of phimosis).

The only possible treatment option for severe phimosis (stages 2–3) is a surgery to remove the foreskin.

But for the initial diagnosis, you can contact the therapist, due to his extensive qualifications in making diagnoses. In the future, he will already refer the patient to a highly specialized doctor.

Circumcision doctors are a surgeon or a plastic surgeon (depending on the condition of the patient and the prescribed “manipulations”).

And what kind of doctor circumcises men who decide to perform this procedure for religious beliefs? In this case, contact your community representative. Already there they will give more detailed instructions for the operation.

In the next video, the doctor talks in detail about circumcision for medical reasons - with phimosis, as well as about the features of the procedure as a rite in some religions:

More circumcision can be carried out:

  • in specialized centers (for example, institutes of urology),
  • in the maternity hospital (if the procedure is performed almost immediately after birth),
  • in clinics dealing exclusively with plastic surgery (if there is no medical indication for the procedure).

Are the procedures performed in private clinics?

Yes, circumcision can indeed be done in private clinics - many of them offer the corresponding service, but exclusively on a paid basis.

If you seek the help of private specialists, it is better to those who work in plastic surgery centers.

But first, you still have to pass tests and undergo a comprehensive examination before circumcision by a urologist or therapist. On average, this procedure will cost from 15 to 30 thousand rubles.

In state (budget) hospitals, circumcision is carried out exclusively in the direction of the attending physician. That is, if he determines that the patient has phimosis and this can extremely negatively affect his health (for example, the inability to conduct hygiene procedures).

According to the compulsory medical insurance (insurance policy), circumcision can indeed be carried out free of charge, but only for medical reasons. For more detailed information should contact the representative of the CHI.

Total circumcision is the removal of the foreskin for a radical treatment of phimosis. And the procedure is carried out on religious prejudices.

The principle of the operation itself is identical, but it is performed either in a clinic or in a religious community, but only a medical savvy person. Circumcision itself is not painful, but the most difficult is the rehabilitation period, when you will need to perform dressing on your own 1-2 times a day. Still not the most pleasant thing is the removal of sutures (self-absorbable are not recommended).

Operation with a German radio wave scalpel

Advantages of the radio wave scalpel:

  • - The most accurate cut is 0.3 mm thick.
  • - lack of bleeding
  • - Lack of pain during dressings
  • - Fast healing in 10 days
  • - Lack of likelihood of infection

Soring's bipolar radio wave scalpel is the latest advancement in medical surgical technology for circumcision. Such a scalpel is used for circumcisions in clinics in Germany and the USA.

All manipulations take place at a distance, the surgical knife is replaced by low-temperature high-frequency radio streams. Under the influence of waves, the tissues gently move apart. The cut is the most accurate, the skin does not suffer from overheating, the vessels do not bleed, and microbes that accidentally get to the site of the operation die instantly.

Male circumcision technology

Analyzes before surgery

We will take tests for RV, HIV, hepatitis B and C, a coagulogram, as well as other tests.

Analyzes are carried out a day before the operation.

You can bring your tests and not pay for the service. The cost of analysis is 1600 rubles.

100% two-stage anesthesia

First, anesthesia of the external skin is carried out, then conduction anesthesia, which eliminates any pain.

We use modern antiallergenic anesthetics.

We guarantee the absence of any discomfort during the circumcision operation.

Anesthesia disappears 3 hours after surgery.

Marking the resection site

When choosing the type of circumcision, we take into account the individual structural features of the penis.

The patient can vary the location of the suture from 1 to 27 millimeters in the direction of the head or pubis, as well as the choice of plastic or complete removal of the frenum.

After healing, the penis looks exactly as the patient wishes.

Surgery without pain and without bleeding

The clinic uses the latest generation German Soring scalpel with a blade thickness of 0.3 mm.

During operations, there is no bleeding, because the scalpel automatically seals all blood vessels.

We do not perform laser operations and we do not recommend you, because complications are possible after the laser.

Impose Vikril self-absorbable stitch

Vikril is a new generation of self-absorbable suture material, which is used in German clinics.

10-14 days after surgery, the suture will resolve itself.

You do not need to come to remove stitches.

After 21 days, you can begin sexual activity.

Painless dressing ADAPTIC

In order not to cause pain when removing the bandage, we will impose a modern non-stick base ADAPTIC.

ADAPTIC protects the suture from infection and allows you to change the dressing without “pulling” the bandage from the wound.

You will come to the dressing the next day.

99.9% of operations go without complications.

In the event of an inflammatory reaction after surgery, the clinic guarantees treatment and dressings at its own expense until complete recovery.

The seam has a lifetime warranty.

Postoperative Support

After the operation, the doctor advises you until the suture is completely healed.

You can send photos by e-mail to the doctor, as well as ask questions about the course of treatment.

You will receive answers from your doctor and recommendations on the possible use of ointments and medicines to speed healing of the suture.

If necessary, we will book you a second free appointment at a convenient time for you.

When to circumcise

Among the main medical indications for circumcision, experts distinguish:

phimosis, which is accompanied by the inability to expose the head due to compaction or contraction of the foreskin (the ailment can be a congenital defect or be acquired in nature),

paraphimosis or pinching of the glans penis with a pathologically narrowed foreskin,

recurrent inflammation of the head and foreskin (balanoposthitis) associated with poor hygiene of the genitals, infection of soft tissues, etc.,

multiple condylomatous growths around the head,

precancerous conditions of the mucous membranes with a high risk of cancer transformation.

Circumcision in Moscow can be performed not only for medical reasons. The reason for its implementation may be hygienic and aesthetic goals. The fact is that the foreskin is a place of accumulation of infectious agents, moisture, dead cells and the secretion of the sebaceous glands. It is these conditions that represent the ideal environment for the development of an inflammatory process that can disrupt sexual and urethral function. Male circumcision is one of the most effective ways to prevent infection by sexually transmitted infections.

Circumcision of the foreskin with phimosis

Most often, excision of the foreskin in representatives of the stronger sex is carried out precisely with phimosis. Under this diagnosis is understood the narrowing of the foreskin, in which the glans penis is barely exposed during an erection. Surgical intervention allows you to eliminate the infringing ring of the foreskin that forms with phimosis.

The operation to remove phimosis in men is carried out in our medical center, the price of the procedure is as affordable as possible for a wide range of patients and fully meets the stated result. You can clarify the cost of treatment and surgery for phimosis, ask questions of interest and set the date of surgery in consultation with a specialist.

Circumcision and sex life

After the operation, the epidermal integument of the glans penis is densified, which inevitably leads to a decrease in their sensitivity. This is significantly reflected in the sex life of a man and can prolong sexual intercourse. Therefore, in some cases, using this simple procedure, you can solve the problem of rapid ejaculation and improve the quality of intimate life.

Already at the first visit to the surgeon, the patient has the opportunity to learn about the options for the operation to remove the foreskin. At the moment, several varieties of surgery are being performed:

low circumcision, when the inner edge of the tissue is completely excised with a suture along the edge of the coronal groove,

average circumcision, after which part of the foreskin is preserved, and the seam is 1.5 cm above the base of the penis,

high type of circumcision, in which the surgeon leaves the inner layer of the foreskin and makes a suture no closer than 2 cm from the base of the penis.

Minimum type of operation

With this circumcision, a small portion of the foreskin is removed. A similar operation is carried out mainly for those patients who resort to the procedure on the basis of religious considerations, but do not want to make significant changes in the physiology and appearance of the genital organ.

As a result of such an operative correction, the head of the penis remains fragmentarily covered with soft tissues, and the urethral opening is free.

The foreskin in this case is removed in a large volume, while the coronal groove remains covered with a skin fold.

The surgeon cuts the skin and completely exposes the head of the penis, which does not hide even when exposed to low temperatures. The appearance of the penis varies significantly.

There is a total removal of the foreskin, after which the skin is stretched during an erection. Tight circumcision is done very rarely. It is prescribed for strict medical reasons or if the patient himself wishes.

How does the circumcision operation go

Circumcision is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that does not require a long hospital stay and hospitalization. It is performed under local anesthesia, but sometimes the doctor may decide on the advisability of using general anesthesia.

During surgical circumcision, a circular excision of the foreskin is performed, after which sutures of threads are applied to the wound, which dissolve independently. Tissue removal volumes and location of sutures are negotiated with the patient before the procedure.

Why do we recommend a circumcision operation with us?

The main reasons why an adult male should undergo circumcision is precisely in the FNCC FMBA:

the competence and high qualification of the medical staff necessary to conduct high-quality surgical intervention without consequences,

the most reasonable price

complete confidentiality of patient information,

predictability of results, when a man can count on exactly the effect that was agreed with the surgeon before the procedure,

the use of modern painkillers, which makes the procedure easy and painless.

Circumcision is performed by experienced surgeons.

Causes and symptoms

Before heading to the doctor, it is necessary to determine what phimosis is, the causes of its occurrence, its symptoms and the degree of the disease. The most common phimosis occurs in newborn boys.

This pathology at this age is called physiological and does not require the use of any therapeutic methods, since by the age of three it passes on its own. Sometimes there are cases of the disappearance of physiological phimosis at an older age.

If it is difficult for young men and men to expose the head of the penis, this is a pathological form of phimosis that requires treatment.

Today, medicine does not reliably know the true factors that affect the occurrence of phimosis.

Physiological phimosis is caused by the bonding between the tissues of the flesh and the head of the penis with connective tissue.

Phimosis is accompanied by difficult or impossible excretion of the glans penis.

Our readers recommend

Our regular reader got rid of PROSTATITIS by an effective method. He tested it on himself - the result is 100% - complete disposal of prostatitis. This is a natural remedy based on honey. We checked the method and decided to advise it to you. The result is quick. EFFECTIVE METHOD.

The pathological form may be a consequence of the physiological or a consequence of trauma to the pelvic organs. In men, phimosis can be inherited and may be associated with impaired formation of connective tissue.

Other causes of this pathological condition may be diseases of the cardiovascular system, which manifest as underdevelopment of the heart and venous valves, impaired blood flow to the penis, and others. The reasons for phimosis, doctors also include rapid puberty, during which there is an uneven development of the foreskin.

Phimosis is accompanied by such symptoms:

  1. Difficult or impossible removal of the glans penis.
  2. During urination, the foreskin is filled with urine, and only after that it is released outside.
  3. Pain during an erection.
  4. With an infectious or bacterial lesion with phimosis, pus appears from the cavity under the foreskin.
  5. Changing the color and size of the head of the penis with strong pinching.

Classification

The first classification sign is based on the condition of the foreskin, while it is distinguished:

  • atrophic - the foreskin fits snugly against the head of the penis and has hard edges,
  • hypertrophic - the foreskin hangs from the head of the penis.

The following classification proceeds from the features of the occurrence of a pathological condition, phimosis happens:

  • congenital - diagnosed in boys during the neonatal period and up to 12 years old, refers to the consequences as physiological phimosis,
  • acquired - occurs due to injuries, inflammation and other diseases.

From the severity of the disease, four stages of phimosis are distinguished.

At the first degree, slight difficulties or pain arise during the abduction of the foreskin from the head during sexual arousal. With a calm, normal state of the penis, it is not difficult to remove the foreskin. During an erection arousal may result in pain in the penis.

In the second degree, men with phimosis during sexual arousal encounter pain and the inability to expose the head of the penis. In a calm state, the foreskin is also difficult to move.

With phimosis of the third degree, it is impossible to expose the head neither during an erection, nor in its absence.

With a fourth degree of pathology, the inability to remove the head of the penis is accompanied by difficulty urinating. Violation of the outflow of urine accompanies pain, filling the prepuce bag with urine and excretion in drops. This form of the disease is dangerous, since stagnation of urine in the cavity between the foreskin and the head leads to the accumulation of bacteria and the development of inflammatory processes.

SO MALE CUTTING

  • Simplifies intimate hygiene, is an excellent prevention of inflammation
  • It allows to exclude the development of some male diseases (phimosis, paraphimosis, Keir erythoplasia, cystitis, pyelonephritis)
  • Promotes Better Sexual Life by Eliminating Premature Ejaculation
  • Improves penile aesthetics

TYPES OF CUTTING

A very small amount of foreskin is removed. Such circumcision, as a rule, is chosen by those men who want to continue the traditions of their people (religion) without significant physiological changes in the penis.

The foreskin is excised in such a way that the head of the penis remains fragmentarily protected, and the urethral opening opens. The results of the intervention become noticeable to others.

A larger volume of the foreskin is removed, however, the coronal groove is still covered by the skin, a fold may hang on the crown of the head of the penis.

The head is freed from excess skin and exposed, it remains naked even when exposed to cold. The presence of a small fold in the area of the coronal groove, the size of which is smaller than the crown of the penis, is allowed.

It is considered the most stringent option, in which the free skin fold is excised completely, which entails a strong stretching of the skin during an erection. It is rarely done for serious medical reasons or at the insistence of the patient.

From the tissues of the circumcised foreskin, a peculiar cushion is formed in the area of the base of the penis. So you can achieve a significant thickening of the penis.

CUT STYLES

As for the style, different options are also possible here:

  • HIGH - the inner layer of the foreskin is preserved, so the circular suture is located at a distance of at least 2 cm from the base of the penis
  • AVERAGE - the seam is placed 1-1.5 cm from the base of the penis
  • LOW - the inner layer of the foreskin is completely removed, the seam is next to the coronal groove.

HOW DOES THE CUTTING PROCEDURE

Circumcision is classified as minimally invasive intervention, it does not require hospitalization and hospitalization (with the exception of rare isolated cases). Local anesthesia is usually used to eliminate pain, and general anesthesia is sometimes considered.

After losing the sensitivity of the penis, the surgeon proceeds to the operation - performs a circular excision of the flesh. The volume of the skin fold and the location of the suture are agreed upon with the patient in advance.

After excision of the flesh, damaged vessels are coagulated, the outer and inner sheets of the remaining foreskin are sutured with self-absorbable threads. If necessary, the operation is combined with the plastic of the frenulum or with the plastic of the outer and inner sheets of the foreskin. An aseptic dressing is applied at the end.

LASER CUTTING

Excision of the flesh is performed not with a traditional scalpel, but with a laser beam, more precisely - with a special surgical laser knife. The laser provides benefits that are relevant to every male.

Laser cutting benefits:

  • Minimal traumatism, when exposed to a laser, adjacent soft tissues are not affected (not torn)
  • Highest precision eliminating burns or other damage to the penis
  • Bloodlessness due to the property of the laser to immediately coagulate damaged vessels
  • Sterility, since the laser destroys microorganisms, makes the surgical area sterile
  • Short rehabilitation - much faster and easier than after traditional circumcision
  • The absence of scars and marks, the aesthetic appearance of the penis, since the edges of the wound are not sutured, but are sealed with a laser

WHY LASER CUTTING SHOULD BE DONE IN THE EL. EN. "

Predictable result When contacting our clinic, you can be sure: the penis will look like it was agreed with the surgeon. The functionality of the body is fully preserved.

Lack of pain Modern painkillers relieve all unpleasant sensations without side effects. Some of our patients joke: if you close your eyes, you can forget that circumcision is being done.

Personnel delicacy Any intervention in the intimate area requires special delicacy. Feel free to count on the attentive and delicate attitude of the doctor and the average staff.

Confidentiality We guarantee complete confidentiality, only you and the surgeon will know about circumcision.

Flawless operation of the surgeon. The outcome of the procedure depends on the qualifications and skills of the surgeon, including aesthetic appearance, preservation of the sensitivity of the penis, etc. In "El. En. ”Male circumcision is performed by the head physician of the clinic, urologist, surgeon A. Kalashnikov (experience - 19 years).

CUTTING PREPARATION

At the first consultation, the doctor examines the penis and evaluates the condition of the foreskin, after which it determines which circumcision (type, style) will be optimal for a particular patient. Naturally, this takes into account the opinion of the patient himself.

After agreeing on the date of the procedure, the patient undergoes a simple preparation:

Clinical examinations (blood, urine tests, culture, etc. surgeon will give a list of necessary examinations)

Quitting smoking and alcohol a few days before the procedure

Refusal to take blood-thinning drugs (for example, aspirin)

Good genital hygiene on the day of the procedure

If the procedure is under local anesthesia (most cases), a light breakfast is recommended on the morning of the procedure.

REHABILITATION AFTER CUTTING

The patient leaves the clinic an hour and a half after the procedure. In the early days, one should expect manifestations of such side effects as swelling, hyperemia, pulling pain, discomfort when urinating and contact with underwear. All these phenomena are expected, since excision of soft tissues was performed.

After laser cutting, pain, swelling are weak. Most of our patients calmly continue to do everyday business the very next day.

What recommendations must be observed during the recovery period:

  • Take antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs in order to prevent the development of the inflammatory process, the doctor will prescribe the drug and dosage regimen
  • Completely exclude situations with an erection for several weeks: a physiological enlargement of the penis in size can cause a discrepancy in the edges of the wound (especially laser-welded ones)
  • Temporarily forget about physical activity, visiting the pool, sauna, bath, bath
  • Relieve pain with analgesics

We emphasize that the divergence of the edges of the wound (sutures) is the most common complication after circumcision, arising from the fault of the patient himself. Therefore, it is important to avoid sexual arousal for a month after the circumcisio procedure.

Circumcision preparation

After the patient has paid the cost of male circumcision surgery in men in Moscow, he needs to undergo special preparation for surgery, including:

sign up for a consultation with a doctor who should examine the patient, determine the type of circumcision and the volume of surgery,

stop drinking alcohol and smoking a few days before the procedure,

pass mandatory tests (general and biochemical analysis of blood, urine, culture from the urethra to the microflora, other tests prescribed by a specialist),

adhere to the rules of genital hygiene,

stop taking blood thinners for a while.

In the vast majority of clinical cases, circumcision is performed under local anesthesia, a light breakfast is allowed immediately before the procedure. If the surgeon decides to use general anesthesia, the patient is forbidden to eat food starting from the second half of the day preceding the date of surgery.

Rehabilitation after circumcision

A man is allowed to leave the clinic within 2 hours after carrying out manipulations to remove the foreskin. When excising soft tissues in the classical way for several days after surgery, the patient may experience complaints of the following nature:

the development of edema with redness at the site of the operation,

the appearance of drawing pains in the area of the postoperative wound,

discomfort during urination and when the penis is in contact with underwear.

All these unpleasant consequences go away on their own after a few days. Most often, they are weakly expressed, so most patients continue to do their usual business the very next day.

Divergence of sutures by the surgeon is the most common complication. Moreover, in most clinical cases, it occurs due to the fault of the patient himself. In order for the rehabilitation period to pass as quickly and efficiently as possible, experts advise to adhere to several recommendations:

in order to prevent the development of the inflammatory process, doctors prescribe a preventive course of antibiotic therapy and anti-inflammatory drugs to patients, and in case of persistent pain, they prescribe analgesics,

it’s forbidden to visit the pool for several weeks, take hot baths, play sports, lift weights, or take a steam bath in a bath or sauna,

within 2 weeks it is necessary to exclude sexual contact.

Contraindications

The operation is carried out by no means to all patients who want to get rid of the foreskin on the penis. Among the absolute contraindications for surgical intervention of this kind should be highlighted:

congenital and acquired pathological conditions that are accompanied by a violation of blood coagulability,

the presence in a man of sexually transmitted diseases in acute or chronic form,

acute general diseases, complex variants of the course of chronic pathologies, organ failure at the stage of decompensation,

oncological diseases and benign tumors of the genital organs,

balanoposthitis in the acute phase,

You can choose a convenient time for visiting a doctor and make an appointment on the website of the Federal Medical and Scientific Center of FMBA of Russia or by calling the hot line.

Which doctor is diagnosing

If a boy or a man has all the symptoms of the described pathology, the question arises, which doctor should I contact for phimosis?

In the presence of all signs of phimosis, it is necessary to go, first of all, to a urologist.

Examination of a newborn boy will determine the form of phimosis (physiological or pathological). In boys older than 7 years and in men, an examination is also carried out by a urologist, which determines the cause of the pathology, the severity of the course of the disease.

The first stage of the diagnosis of a pathological condition involves questioning the patient. The urologist finds out when phimosis appeared, with what symptoms it is accompanied, does the narrowing of the foreskin affect the process of urination.

During the reception, the attending urologist examines the penis, tries to remove the glans penis from the foreskin. This is necessary to determine the degree of the disease. Further, the urologist determines the presence of purulent accumulations in the cavity under the foreskin. If necessary, directs the patient to the surgeon.

Which doctor treats phimosis

After carrying out diagnostic measures, to whom do we go next? Which doctor treats phimosis? Depending on the form, cause, degree of pathology and the chosen treatment option, phimosis is treated by a urologist and surgeon. The treatment options are as follows:

  1. Expectant Tactics.
  2. Drug treatment.
  3. Non-surgical therapy.
  4. Surgical intervention.

The first method is used for physiological phimosis in children under 12 years old. Throughout this time, regular scheduled examinations of the boy are necessary in order to timely identify possible deviations and the development of complications.

Drug therapy is prescribed by a urologist and involves the use of drugs for topical use: hormonal ointments, baths with medicinal herbs and the gradual exposure of the head of the penis with the fingers. Ointments should be applied to the foreskin and head according to the doctor's recommendations. The action of drugs is to increase tissue elasticity, eliminate inflammatory processes.

Non-surgical therapy is used for physiological phimosis and pathological first and second degrees. This method involves stretching the foreskin and exposing the head. For the procedure, you must take a shower or prepare a bath based on medicinal herbs.

This will help increase the elasticity of tissues, cleanse the external genitalia from pollution and prevent the development of inflammation. Then, with your own fingers, gradually push the foreskin until minor pain occurs. This procedure must be performed daily.

However, do not get carried away, because stretching the tissues too quickly can cause cracks or damage the head of the penis.

With phimosis, the most effective treatment is surgery.

With phimosis, the most effective treatment method is surgery, which will help get rid of the pathology and preserve men's health. There are two options for surgical intervention performed by the surgeon:

  1. Circumcision or circumcision.
  2. Penile tissue repair.

The first option of surgical intervention involves the removal of the foreskin. The benefits of circumcision are:

  • the operation does not take much time (no more than 20 minutes),
  • hospital stay is not mandatory or is minimal (no more than a day),
  • low cost.

However, circumcision has one drawback - it is the removal of all tissues that interfere with the exposure of the head of the penis. Therefore, doctors have developed the following option for the rapid elimination of pathology - plastic surgery.

The disadvantage of this method is only a higher cost than circumcision.

The essence of plastic surgery is minor incisions in the tissues of the foreskin, which allows you to save the physiological features of the structure of the penis in men.

After the operation, the patient is recommended to take special baths that will help relieve pain and prevent the development of inflammation. Also, a guy or a man should take a course of anti-inflammatory drugs. Recovery after surgery takes no more than two weeks, regardless of the type of surgical intervention.

If phimosis is accompanied by inflammatory processes, surgery is mandatory, after which special antibacterial compresses are applied to the patient and general antibacterial therapy is prescribed. The patient needs to be in a hospital for some time under the supervision of doctors.

Prevention

When contacting a doctor about treatment, he will recommend the following preventive measures:

  1. Twice a day carry out the toilet of the penis, thoroughly rinse the fold of the foreskin.
  2. Avoid injury to the pelvic organs.
  3. Use barrier contraceptives with unfamiliar sexual partners.
  4. Regularly undergo preventive examinations by a urologist.
  5. To undergo timely treatment for diseases of the genitourinary system of an inflammatory and infectious nature.

Phimosis is a pathological condition in which there are difficulties with exposing the glans penis from the foreskin. In this condition, the man goes to the urologist and, if necessary, to the surgeon, who conduct an examination and prescribe treatment. The most effective method is surgery.

Good afternoon. It is difficult to answer your question without seeing a member. If there is a narrowing of the foreskin (phimosis) - treatment is only surgical. As an option, you can send me a photo of the penis in different projections by mail [email protected]

I am 20 years old. Of sexual activity, only regular (2-4 times a week) masturbation. There was phimosis, which I myself got rid of. There was about 0-10 times per month burning in the urethra. I spend time on the whole not very active, but for the last year and a half I have been running and going to the gym. He had a sore throat, was treated, but after 5 days the sore throat returned, and after another 4 days a slight burning sensation appeared during urination (at the beginning and at the end) and a constant weak burning. An absolutely randomly small amount of mucus is also released, transparent, odorless, just like that when masturbating. With the appearance of this burning sensation, he masturbated and very quickly finished. I live in the countryside and there is no urologist here. I passed a urine test, the therapist looked, but as a urologist did not, sent me to a surgeon (we have as a universal doctor). He looked at a urine test, said that it was some kind of very mild inflammation, and sent it on an ultrasound scan to rule out possible prostatitis. I did not have time for ultrasound and now only on Tuesday. The surgeon prescribed anti-inflammatory tablets and paste. Sent back to the therapist to prescribe antibiotics. And actually the questions: What diagnosis is more similar and what can it be at all? What are the options? Does delay in a couple of days play an important role? Is it possible to trust a person who “understands”, but not a professional in such a matter, such as a local surgeon? Or is it worth scoring everything that they say and after 2 weeks already in the city go to the urologist? If it is hr. prostatitis, with timely and meticulous treatment, there will be no effect on an erection?

Hello Mark! In your situation, you need to do an ultrasound of the prostate and bladder, take the results of the tests and go to an in-person appointment with a urologist. Antibiotics should not be taken before diagnosis.

Most likely, the urologist will prescribe additional studies, including microscopy of discharge from the urethra, tests for sexually transmitted diseases, before which antibiotics should not be taken.

The prognosis regarding the effect on an erection will depend on both the exact diagnosis and the prescribed treatment and your adherence to the prescribed therapy. Take care of your health!

Good afternoon, I'm 28 years old. As a child, phimosis was diagnosed and somewhere in the years 12-13 they underwent a light operation (not circumcision, but a sprain, as I recall) after which the problem disappeared. Then in 20-22 he began to experience pain when exposing the foreskin during an erection.

One doctor diagnosed cicatricial phimosis, the second a short bridle, which was eventually expanded at the beginning of 2014. The problem has not been solved and exposing the head in a state of erection is still extremely painful.

Nevertheless, several surgeons or urologists have denied the fact of phimosis, only 1 doctor has established it at the moment.

In this regard, I have 2 questions for you: 1) is there a way out, other than surgical intervention? 2) is it true that in the case of circumcision, an erection will decrease (one doctor told by the example of a middle-aged man) or will there be a negative perception of the type of the penis in the girl (s) in the future?

Good afternoon! I think it is worth doing circumcision and plastic bridle. There is some narrowing of the foreskin (relative phimosis?) And a short bridle. In a calm state, the foreskin is completely rolled out, but the head is pulled down.

In a state of complete erection, the foreskin does not completely roll out and a fold is formed under the head plus a slight squeezing of the trunk, the bridle is quite tight and immediately returns to the foreskin (there were no breaks during sex, but there is discomfort, sometimes painful sensations).

Maxim, if you go to a state hospital, you may have to purchase some medicines at your own expense. Otherwise, medical services are free.

Dear doctors, hello! A ring with more dry skin (whitish, painful when stretched, sometimes itching) formed on my penis skin. I had a problem at the age of 20.

A ring with more dry skin (whitish, painful when stretched, sometimes itching) formed on my penis skin. When I try to expose the head, it’s difficult but it turns out because the ring is healthy. On an erect penis does not go bare ...

Moreover, it looks like phimosis, but when I open the bridle not to stretch, it is relaxed. And the ring itself pulls together because of dry skin ... I was at the urologist’s good, said it’s okay, you’ll have to live with him further ... But right now it really bothers me ...

and sex life is hard to live ... What would you advise me? And what is your opinion on the problem or disease? Can I go to a dermatologist? ... The urologist prescribed Conderm ointment, but she didn’t help with anything. Is circumcision worth doing? ...

I read about phimosis on Wikipedia, there are no medication treatments, will they help?

Good night, please tell me where in Zaporozhye there is a good urologist who can be consulted about phimosis ?? if you can throw the contacts in the mail. Thanks in advance….

It is impossible to answer your question without an examination; seek the advice and appointment of treatment from the surgeon who performed the operation.

I am 17 years old, the size in the state of erection is 14-16 (for some reason it is different depending on how much I get very excited). Until recently, he could not open his head, he went to the urologist who famously pulled and opened. He said that I am completely healthy and all. But after that I tried to "peel" in the state of erection, but I could not because felt pain! And in a calm state, he is also not completely “stupid”, that is, the head is visible but from below (if it is in a horizontal position) it feels like it has grown to the skin. And when I peel it in a calm state, then the head is bent (lowered) down. Washing by itself is not convenient ... In connection with the foregoing, a few questions: 1. Do I have relative phimosis ?! 2. If so, as I understand it, you will have to do the operation ?! 3. What is the operation like ?! 4. Will it affect my future sex life ?!

5.A question about size: what methods exist to increase size (if possible, list everything or give a link (s) where you can read about each in detail).

I explain: it’s hard to believe, but of all my friends I have less 🙁 because of this I’m very complex, I’m also afraid of what the girls will think, just reading this article (http://www.follow.ru/article/336) namely the moment where it is allegedly being told about the external signs of one size or another, it turns out that the article is a lie or I have problems: (((waiting for him to grow up is useless (probably). Therefore, I would like to hear about all the options. (I understand that this is the norm, but…)

Woe-surgeon "accidentally" sterilized the patient

A young resident of Liverpool, who came to one of the local clinics for a little surgery, did not suspect how the routine operation would end for him. A distracted surgeon mixed up patient cards and ... sterilized the young man.

What to do if the head does not open

Many parents do not know what to do if the boy does not open the glans penis. Some doctors claim that parents should help their child open the glans penis, i.e.

stretch the foreskin. But, do it gradually and slowly.

Most doctors put forward the exact opposite opinion, and talk about the danger of harming the boy and contributing to the onset of the inflammatory process.

Attention! If the effort to open the head with force causes pain, then leave a try and consult a urologist.

The consequences of phimosis

When physiological phimosis passes into the neglected third stage, until the child is 15-17 years old, the head of the penis has not opened, then we can talk about a pathological disease that needs to be treated. In this case, parents should know which doctor treats this disease.

A pediatric therapist will give a referral to a urologist who will conduct the treatment of phimosis in a child. At the reception, you must trust your doctor as much as possible and follow all his recommendations.

Signs of the pathology that are observed in most patients:

  • when urinating, the liquid comes out in a thin stream or drops,
  • while the child is tensing up, feels pain and discomfort,
  • there is redness of the skin around the glans penis,
  • in difficult cases, the foreskin can fill with urine and form a ball.

Attention! Pathological phimosis can also be observed in adult men! In this case, you need to consult a doctor.

Treatment of pathological phimosis

Only a urologist can prescribe a treatment for pathological phimosis, which includes both a conservative and a drug method.

The conservative method was developed in the last century and consists of a set of special exercises that the patient can perform both independently and with the help of loved ones. All actions are aimed at the gradual extension of the foreskin and the opening of the head. The doctor usually gives some important recommendations:

  • exercise regularly at a convenient time, before bedtime,
  • do not make sudden movements, thereby not causing pain,
  • For all questions consult your doctor only.

Drug treatment includes the use of corticosteroid therapy. Ointments are prescribed that well increase the elasticity of the foreskin, relieve swelling and inflammation, and also contribute to the healing of microcracks.

Attention! Strictly follow all the doctor's recommendations!

In rare cases, when all measures to open the glans penis were taken and the result was not achieved, the urologist appoints a consultation with a surgeon.

Which doctor treats phimosis - go to the surgeon

Treatment of pathological phimosis may include surgical intervention, in most cases this simple operation lasts up to 20 minutes. The doctor cuts the scar ring, which did not release the head, in the longitudinal direction, and stitches in the transverse. Thus, it is possible to preserve the foreskin.

After surgery, a small patient can be released home or left for a day in the hospital. At home, it is necessary to carry out special baths for washing.

To do this, you can use a weak solution of potassium permanganate, a decoction of celandine or a series of herbs. Also, the doctor prescribes to drip sea buckthorn oil and take anti-inflammatory drugs.

As a rule, after a week, a maximum of two, the patient is completely healthy and can enjoy life.

Doctors Recommendations

For preventive purposes, in order to avoid inflammation of the foreskin, redness or itching of the head of the penis, it is recommended to observe several rules of personal hygiene.

  1. Parents should monitor the cleanliness of their children's genitals. Daily bathing or washing with clean warm water helps to prevent the occurrence of various infections.
  2. Wash your baby after each urination or use baby wet wipes.
  3. The use of foams for bathing a baby is not recommended, because chemicals irritate the skin of the penis.
  4. Do not expose the head of the penis in the water while swimming to avoid infection.

Now you know which doctor treats phimosis, and you can contact him if necessary.

Phimosis: which doctor treats and diagnoses

Phimosis disease - the structure of the genital organ, in which there are difficulties with exposing the head. As a rule, the reason lies in the narrowing of the foreskin. Most often, pathology is diagnosed in babies, but it can also manifest itself in a more mature age. Who to contact, and which doctor treats phimosis? This and the consequences of not treating pathology should be discussed in more detail.

What is the danger of phimosis if it is not treated?

The danger is not the disease itself, but its complications. Pathology complicates hygiene, and with prolonged stagnation, the formation of smegmolites is possible, which then will have to be removed.

The most formidable complication is paraphimosis. This infringement of the head by the foreskin as a result of a forced opening. Swelling of the head will make reduction impossible, deprived of blood flow, the flesh turns blue and necrosis can begin. Contact a doctor immediately! The consequences of independent actions can lead to the death of the glans penis.

Balanoposthitis is an inflammation of the foreskin and head. It develops due to lack of hygiene, infection of the prepuce sac. Redness, swelling, purulent discharge - all these are signs of balanoposthitis, which require mandatory and urgent medical care.

Acute urinary retention is another consequence of not treating phimosis. It occurs most often in children, while the baby becomes irritable, cannot urinate for a long time and complains of abdominal pain.

Complications of pathology 3-4 degrees - an increment of the flesh to the head. At the same time, a small area first grows, then the flesh grows and covers the entire head. Attempts to open are accompanied by acute pain, bleeding, and other troubles. The pathology is not emergency, but nevertheless it should be eliminated in a timely manner, and knowing which doctor treats phimosis, it is quite simple to do.

Important! With the increment of the foreskin to the head, only surgical intervention is possible, therapeutic measures are ineffective.

In what cases is it necessary to consult a specialist?

If a man has difficulty exposing his head, this is an occasion to contact a urologist. Symptoms of the pathology are as follows:

  1. Pain during an erection,
  2. Urination is drip and after the flesh is filled with urine,
  3. Purulent discharge from the cavity under the foreskin,
  4. Pinching the head.

Dr. Komarovsky, discussing what phimosis is, what kind of doctor to go to, advises not to hesitate to visit a doctor if the baby complains of itching, pain, poorly walks or does not go to the toilet at all - sometimes commissures form with a frequent inflammatory process and the surgeon will have to tear. And it is extremely important in case of difficulties in exposing the head, not to make any independent “discoveries” - this is fraught with the impossibility of returning the flesh to its place, pinching of the head, and gangrene develops incredibly quickly in newborn children, surgeons may not have time to rectify the situation.

Circumcision: nuances of the operation

Circumcision facilitates intimate hygiene, protects a man from many sexually transmitted infections, and his chosen one - from the risk of developing cervical cancer, helps partners prolong minutes of intimacy.

Experts do not get tired of talking about the benefits and numerous advantages of this procedure, which has long turned from a purely religious rite into one of the most popular urological operations. Nevertheless, every man who thinks about circumcision inevitably raises many questions.

How will circumcision affect my health, well-being, intimate life? Is it too late at my age to do such an operation? Do women like circumcised?

We decided to talk about the nuances of the circumcision operation (in medical terminology - circumcisio) with an experienced surgeon, urologist andrologist, a member of professional associations of ROU, PAAR and EAA, Yuri Mikhailovich KRYMKIN.

Yuri Mikhailovich KRYMKIN, urologist, andrologist, member of the Russian Society of Urology, European Association of Andrologists, and the Professional Association of Andrologists of Russia.

- Yuri Mikhailovich, in your personal card on the Deltaklinik website it is indicated that during 27 years of practice you performed more than eight thousand urological operations. What proportion of circumcision is among them?

- I won’t tell you the exact number, but I can say that circumcision is an operation that is performed almost daily in our clinic. She is very popular.

I think that in this regard, Russia is now actively adopting the positive experience of the Americans, among whom, according to WHO, about 75% are circumcised (despite the fact that the United States, like Russia, is a multiconfessional country).

There circumcision is actively promoted as a method of preventing oncology and STDs.

- And yet Russia is not America. I don’t really believe that our compatriots do circumcision for reasons of prevention ...

- Yes, of course. Apart from religious motives, as a rule, circumcision is performed for medical reasons. First of all, this is phimosis - a narrowing of the foreskin, in which it is difficult or even impossible to expose the glans penis.

In young men, phimosis can occur against the backdrop of the debut of sexual relations, when excessive zeal in bed leads to damage to the frenum of the penis or external opening of the foreskin.

Bacteria penetrate the microcracks on the delicate skin (not necessarily pathogenic, it can be the usual microflora of his partner), as a result, inflammation, scarring and narrowing of the foreskin begin.

In men aged, phimosis often develops against the background of diabetes mellitus, atherosclerosis, systemic disorders of the world circulation.

There are frequent cases when a patient finds out about his diagnosis of diabetes mellitus precisely from a urologist, to whom he addresses the problem of phimosis.

We examine these men in detail together with an endocrinologist, conduct preliminary conservative treatment to normalize glucose levels, and then successfully operate.

Well, and, of course, among the medical indications for circumcisio, it is necessary to mention chronic balanoposthitis (that is, recurrent inflammation of the foreskin and head of the penis) and multiple condylomas of the penis.

- With balanoposthitis, everything is more or less clear, but why are condylomas dangerous?

- Condylomas are an external manifestation of a common oncogenic virus - the human papillomavirus.

If a man has this virus “settled” on the foreskin, then over time it can cause penile cancer, and his partner can cause cervical cancer. This is a deadly disease.

The worst thing is that cervical cancer often takes the lives of young, 30-year-old women who have small children orphaned.

Right now, I have one patient with a tragic, albeit ordinary, unfortunately, history. This man came to me about six months ago. In the conversation, it turned out that he was a widower, raising two children alone. His wife died at the age of 32 from cervical cancer.

As expected, when examining the genitals, I found he had multiple condylomatosis, tests confirmed the presence of HPV oncogenic type. Of course, my patient was shocked to realize the true cause of the disease that killed his beloved woman.

You do not wish the enemy to make such a discovery! But we both understood that life was going on, that he could still get married, bring his new mother to his children, and this woman needed to be protected.

Therefore, we conducted a comprehensive treatment with him: first of all, a circumcision operation was performed, then for six months the man received antiviral therapy. And just the other day he, joyful, was at my reception with a negative result of the control test for HPV.

Nevertheless, I cannot help thinking that if this man had been circumcised and treated for HPV 10 years earlier, now his wife would be alive. All my practice convinces me that circumcised men are good for their partners.

- Speaking of age. Are there any age restrictions for circumcisio?

- There are no age restrictions. There are medical contraindications, such as fresh myocardial infarction, stroke, shock of any etiology, and so on. If the man is relatively healthy, he can do circumcision when he sees fit.

And the motives can be very different: hygiene, aesthetics, religious considerations, the desire to transform your sex life. In general, I believe that circumcision is an operation that should be performed consciously, not in infancy, but in adulthood.

What is circumcision?

Male circumcision is a selective type of surgical procedure to remove the foreskin (prepicium) - skin folds that cover and protect the rounded end of the penis (the head of the male penis). This operation is most often done to newborns within 24 hours after birth.

If the baby is born prematurely (prematurely) or because of certain health problems, circumcision can be done when the baby is a little older. Circumcision can also be done by older boys and men to eliminate problems with the foreskin of the penis (for example, phimosis (2) or paraphimosis (3)) or inflammation of the glans penis (balanitis).

Who does the circumcision?

Circumcision is usually done by a pediatrician, obstetrician, family doctor, surgeon or urologist. But the circumcision ritual can be carried out by other specialists from this area, for example, the Rebbe, a Jewish priest.

Should circumcision be done to your son?

There is no medical need for circumcision. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) does not recommend circumcision as a mandatory procedure for infants. When developing such a policy, AAP took into account the possible benefits of circumcision, for example, a lower risk of developing a urinary tract infection (4) in the first year of life. AARP also took into account possible risks and costs of the procedure.

When deciding whether to conduct this operation, it may be necessary to take into account your personal and cultural preferences. For example, when assessing the advantages and disadvantages of this surgical operation, you may want to consider the traditions of your family or religious traditions. The decision on whether to circumcise or not depends on you.

What problems can occur if my child has been circumcised?

Circumcision rarely causes problems. If they arise, they are usually very insignificant. The most common problems due to circumcision are pain, bleeding, inflammation of the circumcision and urethra, and irritation of the open tip of the penis.

Long-term problems are even less common, but they include opening the urethra, excessive bleeding that causes severe pain, serious infections, scarring, or other problems due to a surgeon’s mistake.
